OLM-IQ in BEST SOFTWARE
The OLM-IQ can be configured in BEST SOFTWARE, provided that a suitable compressor with CM-RC module is
selected.
Fig. 13: Configuration of the OLM-IQ in BEST SOFTWARE. The function "Enable oil level regulation (OLM-IQ)" only appears if you have selec-
ted a compressor for which the OLM-IQ is available (above under "Main Setup" - "Compressor model"). In addition, the oil sensor (OLC-D1 or
DP-1 depending on the compressor) can be enabled.
New monitoring parameters in BEST SOFTWARE ("Monitoring" - "Operational Graph") are "Oil Level" and "Oil
Level Regulator Opening Degree (OLM-IQ)". They are stored in the CM-RC and can be read via Modbus. In addi-
tion to the recording of the oil return to the compressor, all relevant data such as operating pressures, temperat-
ures, capacity steps and alarm messages can be shown at a glance if required.
If the oil level falls < 33% of the sight glass height, the alarm "35-05 Oil Level Low (OLM-IQ)" will appear. Since the
OLM-IQ measures the oil level in the crankcase of the compressor, this alarm is automatically reset (Timed reset)
so that the compressor can restart automatically if the oil level is again high enough. The OLM-IQ oil level controller
is active even if the compressor is at standstill.
The brown wire of the sensor cable must be connected to CN7:5, the blue one to CN7:6 and the black one to
CN7:7. The cable of the solenoid valve must be connected to CN6:5/N.
In addition to the OLM-IQ, the OLC-D1 and/or the DP-1 can be activated in BEST SOFTWARE.
