3.8 SHIFT (Direction + / - / OFF)
Shift direction concerns transmitter in relation to receiving frequency. + means TX is higher than
receiver, - means TX is lower than receiver. European repeaters always use – for the shift direction.
1. Press [MENU], [MENU] appears, next line is blank. Then press [UP] or [DOWN] to select
"SHIFT"έ
2. θressΝ[εEζU]ΝenterΝintoΝsettingΝ,firstΝlineΝisΝ"SώIόT", next line shows the status
3. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select between OFF /+ /-.
4. Press [MENU] to confirm settings and return, or press [*/BAND] to exit without changes.
Note : OFF means same frequency for transmitting and receiving. + means transmitting frequency
higher than receiving frequency; - means transmitting frequency lower than receiving frequency.
Example: In the 2 m VHF band – shift has been selected. 145.775 MHz appears as receiving
frequency. When pressing PTT, the radio will then transmit on 145.175 MHz as corresponding TX
frequency.
