3.9 SCAN METHOD
Should select how to continue scanning after a signal has been detected and scanner has stopped.
Choose one method:
 TO Time Operation: Radio will stop scanning when finding a signal. Scanner stops for 5
seconds and then continues, even if the signal should continue on the channel.
 CO Carrier controlled Operation: Radio would stop scanning and stay at the same
frequency until signal disappears.
 （SE Searching Operation: Radio stops on the frequency which has been detected as
busy and then remains on this channel.
Setting steps as following:
1. Press [MENU], [MENU] appears, next line is blank. Then Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select
"SCAN M"έ
2. Press [MENU] to enter into setting , firstΝlineΝisΝ"Sσρζ", next line shows the status.
3. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select between TO / CO / SE.
4. Press [MENU] to confirm and return, or press [*/BAND] to exit without changes.
3.10 VOX (voice controlled operation, handsfree mode)
In this mode there is no need to press PTT for transmission. Just transmit by automatic voice
detection. If you stop speaking, transmit will stop automatically and radio is waiting for receiving.
