quality. The kit includes a GRP cowl as standard. Please check first that the covering
film is stuck down all round, and run a film iron along the seams if you are not sure.
This applies in particular to hinge slots and film overlaps. We recommend that you
apply clear adhesive tape over the faces into which the control surface hinges are to
be fitted, because moisture tends to creep under the film at such areas, causing it to
lift.

Assembling the KADETT 2400
Please don't start building the model until you have read right through the building
instructions and are familiar with all the model's components. If you are not satisfied
with any part, inform your supplier before you start work on the model.
The wing panels
When the hinges are installed at the factory, a little glue may be squeezed out of the
slots, rendering the control surfaces stiff to move. If this is the case, carefully remove
the excess glue using a balsa knife.
Use your fingers to locate the slots in the servo plates, the holes for the servo leads
and the retaining screw holes in the wing panels, and use a hot soldering iron to melt
away the covering film over these openings.
Press the rubber grommets and tubular metal spacers into the servo mounting lugs.
Attach the extension leads, Order No. 3935.32, to the aileron servo leads, and
secure each joint with a heat-shrink sleeve or a retainer clip, Order No. 3503.
Drill 1.5 mm Ø pilot-holes in the servo mounting plates, and secure the servos using
the retaining screws supplied with them.
Cut down the aileron servo output levers as shown in the photos, and sand the cut
edges smooth.
Drill holes at the four corner points of the servo mounting plates to accept the 2.2 Ø x
12 mm retaining screws, positioned as shown in the photo.
