WINDING
When fully wound, your watch has a power reserve of 44 hours.
We recommend that you wind your watch each day at about
the same time.
We advise you to wind the watch before you put it on. This way,
you can avoid lateral pressure on the winding crown which, in
the course of the years, could damage the winding stem or its
case tube.
DYNAMOMETRIC WINDING CROWN
In our constant quest to enhance the quality of our products,
Patek Philippe has equipped your Calatrava Travel Time with
a dynamometric winding crown. This technical innovation, a
patented Patek Philippe invention, prevents over-winding
of the mainspring or a failure of the winding system.
Toward the end of the winding process, you will hear a number
of short clicks to indicate that the mainspring is now fully
wound. The clicking sounds are normal and simply tell you that
further winding is unnecessary.
