During the first days of charging, a mild smell
may be emitted from the heater. Consequent-
ly, the room in which the heater is installed
should be thoroughly ventilated throughout
this period. Rooms in which the first charge
takes place no one should be asleep.
2.7 Reassembly, repair and
rebuilding of the heater
If the unit is reassembled following a repair or
following relocation of the unit, the procedure
set out in these operating instructions should
be followed, in the same way as for an initial
installation.
In these cases, particular care should be taken
that:
– damaged parts are replaced by original
STIEBEL ELTRON spare parts;
– the testing required in section 2.6.1 of these
instructions are repeated.
2.8 Service instruction
If the unit fails to charge, the non-self-resetting
thermal cut-out (F3) may have tripped.
In this event the unit must be electrically dis-
connected by a competent person and the
cause of the fault identified and rectified. The
reset pin on the non-self-resetting thermal
cut-out should then be pushed back in. (see
following illustration).
2.9 Handover
The operation of the heater should be exp-
lained to the user. Particular emphasis should
be made to the safety instructions. These ope-
rating and installation instructions should be
handed over to the user.
