Note: Maintain a firm grip, with thumbs and fingers encircling the
chainsaw handles.
5- To start the engine (Fig.9):
- Press the lock button (i) with your thumb and hold it down.
- Press the ON/OFF trigger switch (3) and hold it down
- Release the lock button (i) (*)
6- To stop the chainsaw
- Release the ON/OFF trigger switch (3)

(*) It is not necessary to keep the lock button (5) depressed after the start of the chainsaw.
The lock button is intended to prevent any inadvertent starting of the chainsaw.
4.13- Adjusting the cutting head angle
With one hand maintained pressed the lock button (19)
With the other hand, grasp the front handle (7) and pull
or push it to rotate the cutting head to desired working
handle.
Adjust the angle to one of the 3 available positions.

4.14- Extensions pole assembly
You can use the chainsaw as a pole pruner by fitting one or two extensions as shown in Fig.11.
Unlock the locking device (13).
Insert the male connection (5) into the female connection (14).
Lock the locking device (13).
Make sure the units and extension poles are correctly and securely assembled.
