III. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1- Symbols
Warning! Read the instruction manual before operating this machine or prior to carrying any
intervention (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, repair ...) on the tool.
Follow all warnings and safety precautions to avoid a danger.
Caution! Risk of injury and/or damage and/or deterioration of product in case of non compliance
to safety requirements
Do not expose to weather conditions (ex.: storm, rain, snow ...) or moisture.
Do not use in damp or wet areas or under the rain.
Do not leave outdoors under the rain.
Class II product with double or reinforced insulation
Wear protective equipment: helmet; goggles, ear muffs
Wear protective equipment: ear muff and goggles protection
Wear protective gloves during operation or for any intervention on the tool.
Wear protective boots with non-slippery soles during operation.
Wear appropriate clothing
Danger! Rotating chain. Do not touch.
Warning! Sharp blades. Never touch or grab the chain either when product is at rest or during
operation. It is recommended to wear protective gloves for intervention on chain.
Keep all parts of your body (and especially the hands) away from moving parts and outside the
cutting area during operation.
Do not attempt to clean debris when the chain is rotating.
Keep persons (esp. children) and animals away from product and working area. Other persons
and animals should remain at a safe distance of 3 meters or more when the machine is being used.
The operator is solely responsible for third persons in the working area. Stop tool as soon as
someone enters the working area.
Warning! Projection hazard (e.g. sawdust...)
Beware of overhead branches being cut, as they may fall on you.
Beware of overhead power lines. Keep away.
Never touch power supply or telephone lines.
These lines conduct high voltage and there is severe danger of electric shock. Keep a minimum
distance of 10 m.
Noise level. Wear ear protection.
Keep power cord and/or extension cord away from ploughing tines and from ploughing track.
Disconnect tool from its power supply before proceeding to any maintenance, cleaning or any
intervention on product; before leaving tool unattended or when tool is not used for prolonged
periods of time.
Unplug tool immediately from its power supply if the product, the power cord or the extension
cord are damaged or cut during operation. Unplug tool by pulling the plug.
Do not pull the cable.
Do not dispose of this product with household rubbish.
Dispose of this product in the nearest recycle centre.
