could jump out. Tighten the saw chain more.
Slightly unscrew the retaining bolt (a) of the cover (b).
With a screwdriver, rotate the screw (f):
-- Clockwise : to tighten
-- Counterclockwise: to loosen
Note: The saw chain has proper tension when :
- it can be lifted for about 3-4 mm above the middle of the guide
bar
- it can be pulled around the guide bar by gloved hand.
After adjusting the tension, screw the retaining bolt (a) of the cover (b).
4.5- Guide bar
The guide bar (10) is subjected to important wear particularly at its tip and lower part.
To avoid one-sided wear or uneven wear of the guide bar, turn it at every chain sharpening or change.
4.6- Sprocket
The sprocket (e) is also subjected to rapid wear.
If deep wear marks appear on the teeth, replace the drive gear sprocket.
A worn out sprocket will shorten the lifespan of the chain.
The sprocket should be changed by a specialist or authorized service centre, to avoid any hazard.
4.7- Chain guard
Upon completion of your task, place the chain guard on the chain and guide chain.
Place chain guard whenever transporting the chainsaw from one location to another.
4.8- Filling the oil tank
Clean the oil filler cap (g) and its circumference before
opening it, so as to avoid any impurities getting inside
the tank.
Put the chainsaw on its flank.
Open the cap (g).
Fill in the tank (with appropriate oil for chainsaw).
Screw the oil tank cap (g) and wipe away any oil spills.
In order to lubricate the saw chain sufficiently, there
must be enough saw chain oil in the tank at all times.
The oil level can be checked in the viewing glass (h).
The oil level may not be below or above "MIN" or
"MAX".
The product is delivered without oil; fill in the oil tank before first use.
Check the oil level prior to each use and, if required, refill with chain saw oil.
During operation, regularly check the oil level through the oil level window (14).
4.9- Saw chain lubrication
To avoid premature wear of the tool, the chain and the guide bar must be lubricated homogeneously
throughout the operation.
The lubrication is automatic.
Never use the chainsaw if the chain is not lubricated. If the chain is dry, the entire cutting device may
become damaged.
It is therefore essential to check both the lubrication of the chain and the oil level before each use.
