Never use the chainsaw when the oil level is below the level marked "Min."
- Minimum - If the oil level is only about 5mm above the bottom edge of the gauge, add oil.
- Maximum - Add oil until the tank is filled to the level marked "Max.".
4.10- Checking the automatic lubrication
Before starting operation, check the automatic lubrication of the chain and the oil level.
Switch on the chainsaw and place it on top of a clear colored surface.
Never leave the machine hit the ground.
For security reasons, keep it to about 20cm from the ground.
If an oil stain appears and grows on the ground, it means that the chain lubricating system is working
properly.
If no oil stain appears, try cleaning the lubrication hole and the anchor hole of the chain adjusting pin.
Remove all dust.
If the problem is not solved, contact the authorized service centre.
4.11- Saw Chain Oil
The lifetime of the chain and guide bar depends greatly on the quality of lubricant used.
Choose a chain lubricant that is environmental friendly.
Use only quality chainsaw oil without sticking additive for lubricating the saw chain and guide bar.
Do not use used or recycled oil, as it could damage the oil pump!
Used oil does not have the required lubricating properties for lubricating the saw chain and, in
addition, it is harmful for the environment.
Oils for saw chains stick when not being used for longer time. This can cause damage to oil
pump or parts leading the oil. Therefore, prior to each storage:
- Empty the oil from oil tank.
- Fill in the tank with little engine oil.
- Allow the chain saw to run for some time to enable the oil leadings and oil pump clean.
- Before other use of the chainsaw, refill the tank with oil for saw chains again.
Store oil in containers (such as jerrycans) certified.
4.12- Engine Start and Stop
Check the oil level prior to each use of the chainsaw and, if required, refill with saw chain oil.
Wear appropriate protective equipment according to your work.
The chainsaw should only be used with an extension cord that is designed and certified for
outdoor use and that can fit the plug of the machine.
1- Connect power cable plug (4) to an extension cord (not supplied)
2- Attach the extension cord to the cable holder (2) to prevent any
damage from inadvertent excessive force pulling (Fig.8).
3- Connect extension cord to mains power source.
4- Hold chainsaw with left hand on front handle (7) and right hand on
back handle (1).
