4.3.1- Installing the handle unit to power unit
 Unlock the locking device (13).
 Insert the male connection (5) into the female
connection (14).
 Lock the locking device (13).
Make sure the two units are correctly and
securely assembled.
4.3.2- Guide bar and chain
Unscrew the retaining bolt (a) counterclockwise and then
remove the cover (b).
The direction of rotation is indicated by an arrow on the
housing. Follow the assembly direction and chain run
direction
Slip the chain around the tip of the guide bar and into the
groove on both sides of the guide bar.
Place the slotted end of the guide bar (9) over the 2 flat bars.
Position the bar so that the adjustment tang (c) fits into the
guide bar lower hole.
Set the chain around the sprocket (e).
Guide the saw chain around the sprocket (e) concurrently
pull the saw chain slightly in the direction of the arrow.
The saw chain may drop slightly on the lower part of the guide bar.
Tighten the chain tension screw (d) until the saw chain edges the lower part of the guide bar.
When tightening the screw (d), be careful not to allow the tension hook slip out of the lower hole
in the guide bar.
Install the cover (b) and tighten the bolt (a) clockwise.
Ensure that chain rotates freely: rotate the saw chain by glove-protected hand so that the chain fits the
sprocket (e) and the guide bar (9).
4.4- Chain tension adjustment and Control
Control the chain tension regularly because new chains lengthen during use.
When in COLD STATE: the saw chain must adhere to lower side of the guide bar, but it must be able
to be pulled by gloved hand.
When reached OPERATING TEMPERATURE: the saw chain lengthens and it slacks.
Parts of the saw chain must not rise from the notch on the lower side of the guide bar – saw chain
Note: Before assembling the chain, pay
attention to direction of cutting teeth
and to chain direction of rotation.
