HAT 1425 CANopen Safety

3 General functional description

HAT 1425 is an absolute measuring singleturn angle sensor for highly precise rotational
angle measurement in mobile machines. During measurement, the angle change as well
as the turning direction of the rotation of two mechanical components towards one
another will be detected.
The functioning method of the angle sensor is based on contactless magnetic scanning.
The sensor system consists of two components: the permanent magnet which is
mounted free of backlash inside of the shaft, and the sensor component.
By means of four Hall sensor elements integrated in the sensor component, the sensor
detects the rotational angle of the shaft. An intelligent electronic evaluation unit converts
the value into an electrical signal.
The digitised measured value is provided to the CAN field bus system via the CANopen-
Safety protocol.

4 General information

The HAT 1000 angle sensor series are subjected to individual calibration and final testing
on a computer operated test station. They are maintenance-free and operate perfectly
when used according to the specifications (see Technical Data).
However, if there is a cause for complaint, please contact HYDAC Service. Interference
by anyone other than HYDAC personnel will invalidate all warranty claims.
