T ragic accidents can occur if the operator is not aw are of the presence of children.
• K eep children out of the w ork i ng area and under the w atchf ul care of a responsible adult.
• D o not allow children under the age of 1 4 to operate this hedger. C hildren w ho are 1 4
years of age and older must read and understand the operating instructions and saf ety
rules in this manual and must be trained and superv ised by a parent.
• S tay alert, and turn the hedger of f if a child or any other person enters the w ork ing area.
• Look behind and dow n f or small children bef ore and w hile w ork ing back w ards.
• U se ex treme care w hen approaching blind corners, doorw ays, shrubs, trees, or other
obj ects that may obscure your v iew of a child w ho may run into the path of the hedger.
