This area has all the functions dedicated exclusively to both the memory modules the 300-code
version (identified by the integrated circuit marked "24C16") and the 1000-code version (identi-
fied by the integrated circuit marked "24C64"). The operations are carried out by inserting the
memory modules into the socket at the head of the palm. Each type of memory module must
be inserted in its correct socket. The socket identified by the letter "S" (slave) is only used when
you are making copies of the memory module.
A) Gives information about the memory module inserted in the master socket. To understand
the information refer to the descriptions given in menu nr. 18. This is a read only function and
cannot modify the information contained in the modules.
B) This function allows you to duplicate a memory module. Copies can only be made of memory
modules which are the same type. The procedure is described in detail in menu nr. 19.
C) Wipes all the memory contained in the module and prepares it for a new installation. The
procedure is described in detail in menu nr. 24.
D) Cancel the PIN residing in memory.
The cancellation operation is indicated in menu nr. 51.
Gives information about the type of memory module inserted in the socket . Pay attention to the
choice of socket when inserting the module and remember that if 300 and 1000-code memory
modules are inserted at the same moment only the 300-code module can be managed. The
following information is supplied:
LOCATION : size of the memory module (maximum number of users)
OCCUPIED: number of users memorised in the module
AVAILABLE: number of users that can still be inserted into the module
Asks you to insert the module that is to be copied into the master socket before proceeding with
the copy. If it is a 300-code module with 24C16 type memory it must be inserted into position
M_16; make sure that there are no other memory modules in the other sockets.
If it is a 1000-code module with 24C64 type memory you must simultaneously insert both the
master and slave module into the sockets M_64 and S_64 respectively.
Once you have inserted the module/modules press the "ENT" button to start the copy otherwise
press "ESC" to cancel and return to menu nr. 17. For 24C16 type memory modules go to menu
nr. 21. For 24C64 type memory modules go to menu nr. 20.
Shows the copy progression for 1000-code memory modules. These memory modules are
copied without an intermediate stage and the progression is indicated by the status bar in the
lower part of the display (the copy will take about 10 seconds). Once the copy has been carried
out a "beep" will sound and you will be moved to automatically to menu nr. 22.
Indicates that the master memory is being read during memory copying. This message only
appears when you are copying a 300-code module which requires two stages. Once the copy
has finished you will hear a beep and you will be moved to the next stage in menu nr. 23. The
read progression is indicated by the status bar which is to be found on the lower part of the
display.
Indicates that the copy has been successfully carried out. This message is shown for about 1
second after which you are immediately moved to the main memory function menu nr. 17.
Asks you to insert the memory module that you wish to program. Confirm the insertion of the
memory module by pressing the "ENT" key. The module is a 300-code memory so you will have
to remove the master which has been inserted and then insert the module that you wish to copy
to. When working with 300-code modules you must never have more than one module inserted at
the same time. (remember there are three possible sockets in which the modules can be inserted).
At the end of the copy you are automatically moved to menu nr. 22. The copy progression is
indicated by the status bar which is to be found on the lower part of the display.
Total memory cancellation. Indicates that you have to insert the module into the corresponding
socket and press "ENT" to start the operation. Remember that the memory content will be
lost for ever and once the procedure has started it cannot be interrupted.
At the end of the cancel procedure a beep will sound and the memory will be wiped and ready
to be initialised again. PGM486 will automatically move to menu nr 17. The function progression
is indicated by the status bar which is to be found on the lower part of the display.
