Connecting analog transducers

The BTL5-H1A/C/E _ -M _ _ _ _ -A/B/Y/Z(8)-C001 enables
e.g. the use of analog pressure or temperature sensors
along with the transducer. This makes it possible to easily
transfer the measured values of the analog sensors in the
CAN protocol.
The analog inputs are recorded serially and not
simultaneously. While the first channel is being read out,
the second change is being converted and vice versa.
As the analog values can only be processed by the BTL in
binary format, the analog process signal is converted into a
digital format by the BTL. The conversion time is
composed of the basic conversion time of the converter
used and the additional processing time in the
microcontroller (µC).
The analog values are shown as a fixed point number in a
two's complement (see Tab. 4-3). The algebraic sign for
the analog value is always located in bit 15.
