Storage instructions

Store in a dry place at room
temperature and protect against
direct sunlight.
• Maximum shelf life: 36 months
• Maximum storage time: see label.
• Due to material wear-and-tear and
stretching the medical effectiveness
of off-the-shelf garments can only be
guaranteed for a maximum period of
6 months wear.
LATEX
Latexfree
This product is processed without
rubber which is won from the milky
fluid of tropical plants.
Washing instructions
For the first time the stocking should be
washed separately. Then, the duomed
stocking should be washed by hand or
at the delicate wash setting of your
washing machine at 40 °C - every day.
Wash stocking separately or together
with similar coloured fabrics. Do not
use bleaching agents or softeners
– please use detergents for woollens.
Rinse the stocking several times
afterwards. After washing please hang
your stocking up to dry or spin dry
immediately – using the delicate wash
setting. Do not leave lying moist on or in
a towel. Do not leave to dry on heaters
nor in direct sunlight. duomed stockings
are not to be cleaned chemically,
neither with spot removers nor using
benzene.

Indications
• Primary and secondary varicosis
• varices and oedema during pregnancy
• insufficiency of deep veins
• thrombophlebitis ( superficial)
• and after treated phlebitis
• for prophylaxis of thrombosis and
after thrombosis
• post-thrombotic-syndrome
• chronic venous insufficiency,
stages I – III according to Widmer
• postoperative and posttraumatic
oedema
• lymph- and lipoedema oedema
• angiodysplasia
• for supporting sclero-therapy, after
venous surgery, congestion states
following immobility (arthrogenic
congestion syndrome, pareses and
partial pareses of the limb),
• for prophylaxis of venous disorders
• Your doctor must decide on the
compression class to wear. Regular
medical checks are recommended to
ensure proper treatment.
Absolute contraindication:
a condition that completely forbids
wearing the medical compression
garment despite a suitable indication
(e.g. chronic venous insufficiency, etc.).
• advanced peripheral arterial occlusive
disease,
• decompensated heart diseases,
• septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia coerulea dolens

Relative contraindications:

due to a known contraindication the
attending doctor weighs up the wearing
of a medical compression garment (for
a suitable indication such as chronic
venous insufficiency, etc.), and
compares the possible risk with the
therapeutic benefit of the medical
device.
