To start charging, proceed as follows:

The battery is ready for use.
Final charging
Important! Depending on the type of battery, the charger automatically switches to
conservation charging after approx. 6 hours. To charge the battery completely, the
battery should remain connected to the charger for this length of time.
Conservation
charging
Conservation charging counteracts battery self-discharge. The battery is always ready
for use and can remain connected to the charger indefinitely.

Unplug machine from the mains
Set selector switch (Acctiva Classic) according to type of battery
WARNING! Risk of explosion from incorrect voltage selection. Before char-
ging, ensure that the „current and voltage" selector switch (Acctiva Classic)
has been set to the appropriate setting for the type of battery being charged.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage caused as a result of
incorrectly selected switch settings.
Switch off engine and ignition, shed all loads
Connect (+) charging terminal to positive pole (red) on battery
Connect (-) charging terminal to negative pole (black) on the battery, or to vehicle
body (e.g. engine block) in the case of vehicle power supplies.
Charger starts to charge
LED indicator „Charging battery/external power supply" lights up
Charger switches to „final charging" when the battery is 80 - 85 % charged
Indicator „Final/conservation charging" flashes
The charger automatically switches to conservation charging once the
battery is fully charged.
Indicator „Final/conservation charging" lights up
Unplug machine from the mains
Disconnect (-) charging terminal from the negative pole on the battery (or from the
vehicle body, e.g. engine block).
