9. PRESCRIPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
Keeping pharmaceutical products in the display case is strictly forbidden (fig.9).
Do not remove protections or panels when it requires the use of tools. IN PARTICULAR, DO NOT
REMOVE THE ELECTRIC CONTROL BOARD COVER AND THE SCREWS FASTENING SHELF LIGHTING
PLUGS.
Do not expose the display case to atmospheric agents (fig. 13). DO NOT STEP on the cabinet bum-
per rail. DO NOT STEP on the top of the cabinet and DO NOT LAY WEIGHTS on it (fig. 10).
Do not spill water directly or indirectly on the display case (fig. 12). Do not touch the equipment
with damp or wet hands or feet; do not use it while barefoot (fig. 14).
ANY OTHER USE NOT EXPRESSLY MENTIONED IN THIS BOOKLET MUST BE CONSIDERED AS HA-
ZARDOUS. THE MANUFACTURER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE RESULTING
FROM IMPROPER, INCORRECT OR UNREASONABLE USE.

10. ORDINARY MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION! BEFORE STARTING ANY MAINTENANCE OR CLEANING, DISCONNECT THE EQUIPMENT
FROM THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY USING THE MAIN WALL CUT-OFF SWITCH (fig. 19).
IMPORTANT: During maintenance or cleaning operations, be sure that the light in the working area
is sufficient and if necessary, use an additional source of light.
DOOR ANTIFOG LINER FILM
Cabinet doors are provided with an antifog liner film that prevents mist from building up in any
temperature and humidity condition, even after long immersion in water or frequent cleaning. Being
extremely hydrophilic, this lining causes water drops to condense and disperse without turning into
mist. However water absorbing, the antifog film does not dissolve in water and consequently does
not get stained when soaking wet The antifog film is not damaged by commercial glass cleaners,
stain removers, ammonia, alcohol or benzine and does not undergo discoloring when exposed to
the sunlight or heat.
DOORS ARE PROVIDED WITH AN ANTIFOG FILM LAMINATED ONTO THE INTERNAL SIDE
OF THE GLASS, AND GUARDED BY A PROTECTIVE LAYER. THE SIDES OF THE PROTECTI-
VE LAYER ARE SLIGHTY LIFTED IN ORDER FOR THE LAYER TO BE EASILY REMOVED FOR
USE. THE PROTECTIVE LAYER MUST BE REMOVED AFTER THE DOORS HAVE BEEN FITTED
ONTO THE CABINET AND ONLY WHEN THE CABINET HAS REACHED OPERATING TEMPE-
RATURE, SO THAT THE ANTIFOG FILM MAY START TO FUNCTION IMMEDIATELY. This is
reminded by the label affixed on the protective film:" DO NOT REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FILM
UNTIL THE CABINET HAS REACHED THE OPERATING TEMPERATURE".
Surfaces so treated may be cleaned using common glass cleaner and a sponge, a rag or a paper
towel. Do not use detergent containing abrasive, strongly acidic or caustic substances. Unless re-
moved, greasy residue from cigarettes or airborne oil may diminish the film's antifog properties.
Greasy residue must be removed using oil stain remover.
IN CASE OF DAMAGE: keep the unit away from flames or ignition sources. Ventilate the
premises well for a few minutes. Switch the unit off, pull our the power plug. Inform an
