General safety instructions:

CAUTION! Read and understand all instructions.
Failure to follow the following safety instructions can lead to electric shocks, fire and/or serious head injury.
The term "power tool" as used in the following instructions refers to the mains operated tool (with power
cable).
KEEP THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Work area
a)
Keep the workplace clean and well ventilated. Untidy workbenches and dark work areas can lead to
accidents.
b)
Do not use power tools in areas with a risk of explosion, e.g., near flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Power tools create sparks which can ignite dust or vapours.
c)
Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you
to lose control.
4. Electrical safety
a)
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of elec-
tric shock.
Earthed tools must be plugged into an outlet properly installed and grounded in accordance with all codes
and ordinances. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapters. If you are in doubt as to
whether the socket is correctly earthed, call in an electrician to check this. In case of technical malfunctions
with the tool, earthing ensures a lower resistance to dissipate the electric current well away from the user.
b)
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if you touch an earthed surface.
c)
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk
of electric shock.
d)
Do not misuse the cable. Do not use the cable for carrying or dragging the power tool. Do not pull on
the cable to unplug the power plug. Keep the cable clear of heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Have
damaged cables replaced by a qualified electrician. Damaged or twisted cables increase the risk of electric
shock.
e)
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
6. Personal Safety
a)
When operating a power tool stay alert and concentrate on what you are doing. Do not use a power
tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while ope-
rating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b)
Use safety equipment. Always wear safety glasses. Using safety personal protective equipment suita-
ble for the application, such as a dust mask, slip-proof safety shoes, protective helmet or hearing protection
and safety gloves, reduces the risk of injury.
