EARTH
Ground the sprayer & other components in the system to reduce the risk of static sparking, fire or explosion
which can result in serious bodily injury and property damage. For detailed instructions on how to ground,
check your local electrical code.
ALWAYS ensure switch is in OFF position before plugging unit in.
Always Ground All of These Components:
1.
Turbine: connect the power cable or extension cable with its undamaged safety plug into a properly
earthed socket. DO NOT USE AN ADAPTER. Use only a 3 wire extension cord that has a grounding
plug, and a receptacle that will accept the grounding plug on the product. Make sure that the extension
cable is undamaged. If you are using an extension cable, make sure it is suitable for the power tool's
rating. Use cables with a wire cross-section of 2.5 mm².
2. Hose: use only grounded hoses.
3. Spray gun: grounding is obtained through connection to a properly grounded hose and turbine.
WHEN SPRAYING & CLEANING WITH FLAMMABLE PAINTS AND THINNERS
1.
When spraying flammable liquids, the spraying system must be set up at least 6 m from the spraying
area in a well ventilated room. The ventilation must be sufficient to prevent a build up of vapour.
2. To eliminate electrostatic discharge, ground the spray unit and sprayed object. See GROUNDING. Use
only hoses which are conductive.
3. Do not smoke in the spraying/cleaning area.
NEVER use solvents with an ignition point below 60° C. These substances included: acetone, benzene,
ether, petrol, naphtha. If in doubt, ask your supplier.
