CAUTION! Do not cut wet mate­
rial.
Roughing
Hold the machine at an angle of 30° to
40° to the workpiece. Move the machine
back and forward with moderate pressure.
Storage and transportation
Store the machine, operating instruc-
tions and where necessary the accesso-
ries in the original packaging. In this way
you will always have all the information
and parts ready to hand.
Store the power tool in a dry, well-venti-
lated location, out of reach of children.
Always carry the power tool by the han-
dles.
Pack the device well or use the original
packaging in order to avoid transit dam-
age.
Secure the power tool to prevent slipping
and tipping.
Protect the power tool from vibrations and
impacts, especially when transporting in
vehicles.
10 – Maintenance and envi­
ronmental protection
Meister devices are to a large extent
maintenancefree, a damp cloth being
sufficient­to­clean­the­casing.­Do­not­
drop electrical machines in water.
Please note additional hints given in the
operating instructions.
CAUTION! Before any mainte­
nance working on the appliance,

Remove dust regularly from machine
and ventilation slits. Clean the case only
with a damp cloth – Do not use sol-
vents. Then dry well.
CAUTION! Conductive metallic
dust may impair the function of
the machine. When working frequent­
ly with metals, blow the ventilation
slots out regularly with compressed
air and if necessary install a safety
cut­out switch (FI).
Replacing the carbon brushes
CAUTION! Pull the power plug
before carrying out any work.
Worn carbon brushes automatically
deactivate the device. Always have
the carbon brushes under the covers
changed by a specialist and in pairs.
At the same time, have dust removed
from the contacts using a brush or com-
pressed air.
CAUTION! Electrical
and battery operated
units that no longer work
should not be disposed
of in the house hold waste!
They are to be collected
separately, in accordancewith the
2012/19/EU directive for the disposal of
electrical and electronic waste, and
sent for proper and environ mentally­
friendly recycling.
Please discard power tools no longer
usable at a local collection point.

materials separately by types complying
with local rules and regulations. For
details, please contact your municipal
authority concerned.
