whilst you are using the machine, stop
using the machine immediately. Take
sufficient­breaks.­If­you­do­not­take­suf-
ficient­breaks,­this­may­lead­to­a­hand/
arm vibration syndrome.
An estimate of the level of load in con-
junction with the work or use of the
machine should be carried out and
breaks set out accordingly. This method
can be used to considerably minimise
the level of load during the entire work-
ing time. Minimise risks in which you are
exposed to vibrations. Take care of your
machinery in accordance with the direc-
tions in the operation instructions.
If the machine is to be used frequently,
contact your dealer and arrange anti-vi-
bration equipment (handles) if necessary.
Avoid using the tool in temperatures of
t = 10 °C or lower. Draw up a working
schedule which can be used to minimise
vibration loads.
Information about minimising noise
A certain amount of noise is unavoida-
ble when using this device. Ensure you
carry out noise-intensive work during
permitted times.
Maintain the quiet periods and limit your
work to the absolute minimum. For the
sake of your personal protection and the
protection of persons in close proximity,
suitable ear defenders should be worn.

7 – Installation and setting
Setting the disc cover (Figure 3)
The position of the disc covers (7) can
be adapted to the relevant working con-
ditions. To do this, release the unlocking
lever (8) and swivel the disc cover into
the desired working position. Tighten
the unlocking lever again.
If­the­unlocking­lever­is­difficult­to­oper-
ate, or the disc cover remains moveable
after tightening, the clamping lever can
be adjusted accordingly by loosening
or tightening the clamping nut with an
Allen key.
The open disc cover included in
the scope of delivery for this item is
designed solely for use with grinding
discs.
CAUTION! The closed side of the
disc cover must always face the
operator to protect against sparks
and shavings.
Disc cover for separating work
Separating work must be carried out
with a protective mechanism designed
specifically­for­this­purpose.­The­protec-
tive mechanism can be ordered from the
specified­service­address­as­named­in­
the warranty card under the article num-
ber 2002575.
Assembly and removal of the disc
cover
Change the disc cover according to
requirement and usage.
To do this, release the unlocking lever
(8) and, if necessary, the clamping nut
(8a), to enable the disc cover to be
rotated and removed from the guide
