mounted to three different positions on
the sanding head (fig. 4).
8 – Operation
For safety reasons, the device is fitted
with a paddle switch (with dead man's
function) which prevents unintentional
restarting (e.g. in the event of a power
failure) (Figure 1a).
• Switching on: Slide the switch lock
forwards and then pull the paddle
switch with switch lock towards the
device and hold.
• Switching off: Release the paddle
switch.
It is not possible to lock the paddle
switch to ensure continuous operation.
Test run
CAUTION! Always carry out a test
run before starting work and after
every tool change!
Always ensure that the tools are in good
condition, correctly mounted and able
to turn freely. The trial run should last
approx. 30 sec.
9 – Mode of operation
• Always place the workpiece on a firm
surface before starting.
• Observe rotation direction and func-
tion
• The distance between the user and
the machine should be as great as
possible.

• Avoid jolting the workpiece.
CAUTION! Never machine
material containing asbestos.
Cutting
Apply slight pressure to the cutting disk
from above, but NOT from the side.
Adjust forward pressure to material and
rotation speed. The machine must work
in reverse rotation (fig. 7).
CAUTION! Do not cut wet
material.
Roughing
Hold the machine at an angle of 30° to
40° to the workpiece. Move the machine
back and forward with moderate pressure.
10 – Maintenance and
environmental
protection
CAUTION! Before any
maintenance working on the
appliance, unplug it from the mains.
Remove dust regularly from machine and
ventilation slits. Clean the case only with
a damp cloth – Do not use solvents. Then
dry well.
CAUTION! Conductive metallic
dust may impair the function of
the machine.
When working frequently with metals,
blow the ventilation slots out regularly
with compressed air and if necessary
install a safety cut-out switch (FI).
