10.6 TRANSPORT MECHANISM __________________________________________________
Accidental lowering of decks

WARNING
can be fatal or cause serious
injury.
Do not transport with the arms resting on the
latches. Latches are only used to prevent
accidental lowering of the decks.
1. The wing mowers are equipped with a latch to pre-
vent accidental lowering of the decks during trans-
port or maintenance operations. The latch knobs are
located on the engine firewall on the right and left of
the driver's seat.
2. Raise the mowers to the fullest extent then push the
latch knobs "in" to secure the mower. The weight of
the mower/lift arm must not rest on the latch.
10.7 REMOVING THE CUTTING UNIT ______________________________________________
IMPORTANT:
To prevent contamination of the hydraulic
system, as well as loss of oil, DO NOT
disconnect the hoses from the motor.
1. Raise all mowers to transport position. Lock wing
mowers and place supports under the front mower.
Remove the center mounting bolt on all blades. Do
not remove the adapter from the blade.
2. Lower the mower and remove the hardware
securing the motors to the deck. Carefully pull the
motors and hoses away from the mower.
3. Remove the collar from the wing mower and pull the
cutting unit away from the tractor.
4. Remove pivot pins securing the front lift arms to the
mower and pull the mower away from the tractor.

3. To release the latch, pull the latch knob "out" and
lower the mowers to the ground.
