6.0 TROUBLESHOOTING________________________________________________________
Before making any adjustments or performing maintenance, read the entire adjustment or maintenance section for
proper procedures and warnings.
Symptoms
Engine does not start.
Engine hard to start or runs erratically,
stalls, looses power or stops.
Engine Overheating.
Battery does not hold charge.
Gauges/Indicators not operating.
Tractor does not react to traction pedal. Parking brake.
Mowers do not cut or cut unevenly.
Mowers do not turn on when lowered
or turn off when raised.

Probable Cause
Empty fuel tank or dirty fuel.
Battery, Circuit Breakers.
Operator Back-Up System.
Electrical System.
Engine - Glow Plugs.
Fuel leaks, dirty fuel, incorrect fuel. Refill with proper grade, clean fuel.
Fuel Filter.
Loose Wiring.
Air intake, air cleaner plugged.
Loose water pump belt.
Engine Overloaded.
Air intake plugged.
Low coolant.
Loose water pump belt.
Engine overload.
Loose, corroded battery terminals.
Low electrolyte.
Alternator not charging.
Circuit breakers and bulbs.
Loose wiring.
Tow Valve.
Low hydraulic oil.
Misadjusted.
Levers not fully raised or
fully lowered.
Low Engine RPM.
Low Hydraulic Oil.

Add or drain and refill with fresh fuel.
