WARNING: This chamber #18095C is specific to the Hanna Trephine. It is not interchangeable
with the «ALTK» #19161 artificial chamber. Using the «ALTK» #19161 artificial chamber with the
Hanna trephine can seriously damage the graft.

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT

The artificial chamber ref. #18095C can be used as an alternative to the Hanna punch block. When used with
the Hanna trephine (ref. #17166), the chamber enables the trephination of the donor and recipient corneas
on the epithelial side, while creating a consistent and symmetrical cut. This reduces disparities in shape and
post-operative astigmatism. With the artificial chamber, it is possible to use the same size blade for the donor
and the recipient, to cut the same side (epithelium), and to create a perpendicular cut which facilitates placing
the graft on the patient.
The specific design of the trephine chamber stabilizes the cornea during trephination.
Note: The silicon irrigation tube (BE) is used in this technique not as a vacuum system, but as a system
«under pressure» (approximately 50mmHg).
Please ensure that the silicon tubing is in good condition. We recommend replacing it after each operation
(references: #205 for one meter of silicon tube or #205B for a 15m reel of silicon tube).
