FAULT FINDING – If in doubt, consult your probe supplier.
PROBE FAILS TO SWITCH ON
Probe is already
switched on.
Dead batteries.
Batteries installed
incorrectly.
Probe out of range
or not aligned with
the OMM/OMI.
Beam obstructed.
OMM/OMI signal
too weak.
No OMI start
signal.
No power to MI 12
or OMI.
PROBE STOPS MID-CYCLE
Beam obstructed.
Probe collision.
Damaged cable.
Power supply lost.
Probe unable to
find target surface.
If necessary, switch probe
off.
Change batteries.
Check battery installation.
Check alignment and if
OMM/OMI fixing is secure.
Check if OMM/OMI
window is clean. Remove
obstruction.
