19. The FABA™ slider has a useful
life of 10 years as of the date of manu-
facture provided that it has been used
and maintained in strict observance of
the operating, installation and mainte-
nance instructions given in this manual
and provide that it has been stored in
strict observance of the storage inst-
ructions given in this same manual.
On expiry of the 10-year period fol-
lowing manufacture date, authorization
of use of the slider is subject to suc-
cessful inspection by a qualifi ed person
trained and certifi ed by Tractel.
During use of the device, parameters
like severe use, drop from height, fric-
tions, contact with sharp edges, con-
tacts with chemical products, contact
with abrasive surfaces, and exposure
to high temperatures, UV exposure etc.

20. A rescue plan must always be
drawn up before starting work. The

casualty's life will be endangered if the
rescue operation lasts longer than this.
