2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

NOTE
Recommended combinations for cranksets and rear derailleurs are set forth below.
However, please note that these are only recommendations which must be verified
for your particular bicycle. Numerous variables, such as the exact dimensions and
geometries of the chainwheels, derailleurs and most importantly the frame, will
affect the suitability of these recommendations for your particular bicycle. For this
reason the combinations listed in the table below are to be considered merely indi-
cative and must be verified each and every time, depending on the frame on which
the components shall actually be mounted. If you are unsure about the suitability
of a combination for your use, please see your bicycle mechanic or contact your
nearest Campagnolo retailer.
RECOMMENDED COMBINATIONS
• Double or CT
sets except the 13-29
• Double or CT
crankset + medium cage rear derailleur: all Campagnolo sprocket
sets*
• Triple crankset + medium cage rear derailleur: all Campagnolo sprocket sets
except the 13-29 set
• Triple crankset + long cage rear derailleur: all Campagnolo sprocket sets*
* if compact sprocket sets are used (e.g. 11-23) it may be necessary to keep the
chain length shorter than the values indicated in standard assembly instructions.
WARNING!
COMPATIBILITY
• The 2001 model year 9s rear derailleurs are not compatible with the 9s
Ergopowers
of 2000 and previous model years.
Please contact Campagnolo
Centers in order to obtain full compatibility.
• 9s rear derailleurs are compatible with 8s drive-train only if the 9s chain is
used.
• This derailleur is designed to be used only with original Campagnolo
and casing.
