6.3.4 Fixation with spring levers
After placing the model pairs on the universal
plate, mount the fixation spring levers (see
Section 6.1.2).
NOTE:
It is recommended to use at least two fixation
spring levers to achieve a uniform distribution of
the hold-down pressure and to prevent the
model pairs from tilting.
The position of the fixation pins and the fixation
spring levers can be adjusted.
▷ Insert the respective fixation pin into a hole of
the universal holder that is suitable for fixation
of the model.

7.1

Cleaning

The scanner must be cleaned regularly.
▷ Switch the scanner off.
NOTE:
Possible damage to the 3D sensor:
▷ Do not clean the optics of the 3D sensor in the
top of the scanner!
▷ Carefully vacuum out the interior of the scan-
ner.
▷ Wipe off the housing with a moist cloth. Do not
use aggressive cleaning agents.
7.2

Maintenance

As the scanner is a sensitive, optical device, the
maintenance may be carried out only by trained,
specialized personnel.
