mechanism. This is safer than holding
it with your hands.
h Immediately switch off the power
tool when the inserted tool becomes
blocked. A blocked tool may cause
kickback.
i After switching it off, wait until the
power tool has come to a standstill
before you put it down.
2 – Safety instructions
relating specifically to
the equipment
• The tool may only be used for the
intended purpose.
• Only actuate the gear switch when
the motor is at a standstill. Switching
with the tool running may cause
damage to the gears.
• Never touch the exterior housing
immediately after drilling. It becomes
very hot when drilling.
• Shavings or splitters should never be
removed with the tool running.
• Small work pieces must be secured
in such a way that the drill does not
move them during drilling.
• Always keep the power cable away
from the area you are working in.
• Only connect the tool to the power
supply when it is switched off.
• Persons under 16 may not operate
the tool.

• Chase and drill bits may be thrown
out of the tool and cause serious
injuries.
• Before starting work, ensure that
chase and drill bits are locked in the
tool holder.
• Check the tool holder regularly for
signs of wear or damage.
• A hammer action tool should only be
started when it is pressed up against
a work piece (wall, ceiling etc.).
• When you have finished working,
remove from the power supply and
take the chase or drill bit out of the
tool.
• Protect your eyes and those of any
persons in the area from flying objects
and splintering foreign bodies. Wear
a safety helmet! Set up separating
walls!
• Work gloves will protect your fingers
from crushing and grazes.
• Protect your breathing apparatus from
dangerous dust generated by drilling.
Wear a dust protection mask.
• Vibrations may cause damage to
hands and arms: keep the time
exposed to vibrations as low as
possible.
• Make sure that power cables always
lead away from the rear of the device.
• Store the tool in such a way that it
cannot be accessed by children.
• Prior to processing materials, ensure
that the tool is set to the correct
