POSSIBLE TROUBLESHOOTING
7) Signalling: AL 07 over heated fumes (turns off due to exceeding maximum smoke temperature).
Problem:
Switches off because of overheated fumes.
Over heated fumes may depend on: type of pellets, anomalous fume extraction, blocked channel, incorrect
installation, gear motor drift, lack of air vents in the room.
8) Signalling: AL 08 H2O temp alarm (this occurs if the water temperature sensor reads a temperature above 90°C)
Problem:
Shuts down due to water temperature being higher than 90 °C.
An excessive temperature may occur because of the following:
• system too small: ask the DEALER to activate the ECO function
• blockage: clean the exchanger pipes, the combustion chamber and the smoke outlet.
9) Signalling: Verifi c./air fl ow: (intervenes if the fl ow sensor detects insuffi cient combustion ).
Problem:
Turns off for lack of depression
Air fl ow may be insuffi cient because the door is open, the door does not close properly (e.g. bad seal), there is an
air intake or smoke extraction problem, or the combustion chamber is clogged.
Actions:
Check:
• door closure;
• combustion air intake duct (clean, paying attention to the fl ow sensor components);
• clean the fl ow sensor with dry air (like that used for PC keyboards);
• boiler location: it must not be installed against a wall;
• combustion chamber position and cleanliness (clean regularly according to the type of pellet);
• smoke duct (clean);
• installation (if it does not comply with regulations or the smoke outlet has more than 3 bends);
If you suspect the sensor is malfunctioning, carry out cold tests. If the conditions are changed (for example by
opening the door) and the value does not change, there is a sensor problem.
N.B.:
The no depression alarm may also occur during ignition, since the fl ow sensor starts monitoring 90 seconds after
the ignition cycle begins.
10) Signalling: AL C: H 10 (low current alarm)
Problem:
Boiler shut-down for anomalous absorption
This occurs when the gear motor absorbs less current than normal or when the mechanical safety pressure
switch has been triggered.
Actions:
Check:
• that the fi replace door is correctly closed
• repeat ignition and observe the fall of the pellets into the chamber; otherwise contact the technical assistance centre.
• check and if necessary have the fl ue/chimney cleaned by a specialist cleaner.
11) Signalling: AH C: H 11 (high current alarm)
Problem:
Boiler shut-down for anomalous absorption
This intervenes when the gear motor absorbs more current than normal.
Actions:
Check for any obstructions in the pellet loading channel (loading screw and slide) or for falling objects in the
pellet hopper which block the rotation of the loading screw.
Repeat ignition and observe the fall of the pellets into the chamber; otherwise contact the technical assistance centre.
12) Signalling: "Bat. 1"
Problem:
The boiler does not stop but the error appears on the display.
Actions:
• The buffer battery of the control board needs changing (DEALER) (see page 26).
N.B.:
The combustion chambers and smoke ducts connected to the solid-fuel appliances must be cleaned once a year (check if your
country has specifi c legislation covering this).
Failure to regularly check and clean increases the likelihood of a fi re in the chimney pot.
In the case of a fi re in the boiler, in the fl ue or in the chimney, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the power supply
- Use a carbon dioxide (CO
2
- Call the fi re brigade
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUT THE FIRE OUT WITH WATER!
After the event, have the appliance checked by an authorised Service Centre and have an authorised technician check the fl ue.
