c) "DAY-NIGHT" (colour mode) submenu
Usually the surveillance camera automatically switches from a colour display during the day to a black and white im-
age at night. However this automatic switching can be turned off in this submenu.
"EXT" or "AUTO": Automatic switching based on the ambient light level
"COLOR": Colour display
With this setting, the IR filter stays activated at night; the IR light from the built-in LED cannot be used for
technological reasons.
"B/W": Black/white setting
With this setting, the IR filter stays deactivated during the day. This can result in a washed-out image.
"RETURN" = exit submenu and return to the previous menu
d) "VIDEO SETTING" submenu
All functions that are used to adjust the picture adjustment are gathered here.
"CONTRAST": Contrast
"SHARPNESS": Image sharpness
"COLOR GAIN": Colour saturation
"DNR": Noise suppression
"TRANSFER MODE": Select the video output signal for the surveillance camera ("CVBS" = Standard video signal,
"AHD" = Analogue high definition = HD video signal, "CVI" = Composite video interface, "TVI"
= "Transport video interface)
In the "CVBS" mode the camera provides a standard analogue video signal, which can be displayed on
almost every traditional surveillance monitor and can be recorded on appropriate DVRs.
In the operating modes "AHD", "CVI" and "TVI" the camera provides a high-resolution video signal that
gives a much better picture quality than "CVBS". However, you need a special DVR to bee able to watch
and record this high-resolution video signal.
"FORMAT": Switching between PAL and NTSC
"DWDR": Dynamic range function; brightening of dark areas in difficult ambient conditions
"RETURN" = exit submenu and return to the previous menu
e) "LANGUAGE" submenu
This is where you can set the language for the OSD menu.
f) "RESET" submenu
To reset all settings to the factory default settings, select this submenu and then confirm your selection.
