Electrical protection
The boiler is protected against abrupt electricity oscillations through a general fuse placed in the switch placed in the rear part. (4A250V
EN
Retarded).
Smoke outlet protection
included in the warranty unless the authorised technician can demonstrate a faulty component.
Water overheating protection (90ºC)
If the water temperature inside the boiler circuit reaches between near about 90ºC, the fuel loading is cut by
the water overheat safety sensor. If the temperature gauge is activated, restart needs to be done manually by an
authorised technician.
The replacement of the 90ºC water overheat safety sensor is not included in the warranty unless theauthorised
technician can demonstrate a faulty component to the satisfaction of Boreal's technical centre.

display will show the alarms "Er09 and Er10". To reset the safety device press button P2 on the display for, at
least, 3 seconds.
Warning: the presence of air in the heating circuit can provoke activation of the system water pressure transducer. If the sensor trigger and
ceases to feed fuel to the machine, the alarms related to the lack of fuel may activate.
In order to get a proper performance of the product, the ideal pressure of the installation should be set at, approximately, 1.0-1.4 bars when
the installation is cold. Furthermore, it is necessary to ensure the absence of air in the heating system. Boreal advises to have an adequate air
purged circuit within the installation. The operation of air purging inside the installation is not included in the warranty.
Installation Safety Devices
It is COMPULSORY to have a system pressure gauge to visualize the water pressure of the heating circuit.
The closed expansion vessel of the installation should have a dimension between 4 and 6% of the total volume of the installation. The
integral boiler mounted closed expansion vessel is likely to be inadequate for the central heating circuit..

5. FUELS

In order to guarantee a proper combustion, it is necessary to use quality combustible materials that meet the stated standards.. The use of
combustible materials in which breach the specifications mentioned below implies the cancellation of the warranty and the manufacturer's
responsibility for the product.
If you use combustible materials according to the present specification, we guarantee an impeccable working and good performance values of the
installation. In the event of not knowing a distributor able to supply materials meeting these criteria, we would kindly inform you about the distributors that
you may be interested in.
5.1.

The fuel used must be of type C1 according to standard 303-5 and must comply with the characteristics described in the standards or certifications:

It is strongly recommended that the pellet is certified with quality certifications because this is the only way to guarantee the constant quality of the
pellet.

Smoke outlet protection
The electronic pressure switch blocks the operation of the boiler in the event of an abrupt change of the
pressure inside the combustion chamber (door opening, breakdown of the smoke extraction motor, etc). If
this happens, the machine will go into an alarm state.
Protection in the event of high temperature inside of the hopper the
fuel storage tank (80ºC)
In the event that the inside of the pellet tank overheats this device stops the operation
of the machine. The restart needs to be done manually by an authorised technician.
The replacement of the 80ºC thermal protection sensor on the pellet hopper is not
Flow sensor (Smart Control Technology).
Your boiler has a flow sensor placed inside the inlet of the primary air supply pipe that
detects the proper circulation of fresh air to the combustion chamber and the smoke exhaust. In the event that insufficient air
is supplied (due to incorrect smoke outlet or improper air intake), the sensor sends a "cut out" signal.
The SMART CONTROL TECHNOLOGY ensures a constant combustion by controlling automatically the chimney draw
or draught calculated from the flue characteristics (curves, length, diameter, etc) and the environmental conditions (wind,
humidity, atmospheric pressure, etc).
