Danger of injury from shearing, squeezing and abrading
After failure or malfunction of the control system or after interruption and res­
toration of the power supply, there may be positioning motions on the slide.
This may cause injuries.
S Make sure that the slide is secured against moving when it is in the
de-energised state.
S
Start the machine up in one of the following ways:
– on the control panel of motor controller SFC-DC-... in accordance with the
instructions or
– with the Festo Configuration Tool (FCT) and its help system on your PC.
Please observe in particular the following points:
– Parametrisation
– Software end positions
– Homing
Note
Reference travel against the end stop at high speeds can damage mechanical
components and connections.
S In the case of travel to the end stop, make sure that the maximum speed of
the reference travel (10 mm/s) is not exceeded.
Start a test run with the existing programmings.
1. Check to see if the settings on the SLTE need to be modified.
Deviations in positioning accuracy or overswing of the system could be caused
by the following:
– additional mass too high
– excessive feed speed.
2. If necessary, repeat the test run.
When all necessary corrections have been made:
