Commissioning

Warning
Danger of crushing! Uncontrolled advance
of piston rod.
Moveable masses may cause injury to
people or damage to property in the posi
tioning range.
S Make sure that:
nobody can place his/her hand in the
positioning range of the moveable
mass (e.g. through the protective
guard).
there are no objects lying in the posi−
tioning range of the moveable mass.
If the clamping unit is protected cor
rectly, it should not be possible to gain
access to it until the moveable mass has
come to a complete stand.
Note
S Make sure that the setting is only undertaken by qualified personnel.
S Check whether the holding force corresponds to the specified values.
S Make sure that the limit values for speed and holding force are not exceeded
(see chapter Technical data).
Note
Clamping without a clamping rod will damage the internal clamping compo
nent.
S Make sure that clamping unit type KEC−... is always pressurised if there is no
clamping rod or piston rod.
If the clamping unit without clamping rod is exhausted, the high spring force
will deform the internal clamping component until it cannot function.
