16.1 Elbow screw in
The threads must match each other.
Ensure that the threads are clean and not
damaged.
If assembled incorrectly or if
assembled using a dirty or damaged
thread, the explosion protection is no
longer guaranteed.
When screwing in the seal, ensure that it is
positioned correctly and not damaged.
Do not damage any wires or conductors
when tightening.
Screw elbow /threaded connection piece (4)
tightly into enclosure (observe test torque ->
Technical Data).
Screwing in elbow [Fig. 16.1]
1. Screw in elbow (1) / threaded connection
piece (4).
2. Align elbow.
3. Tighten fixing screws (2).
4. Screw in anti-twist screws (3).
5. To disassemble, carry out the above
actions in the reverse order.

Adjusting position of elbow
1.Loosen or completely unscrew the fixing
screws (2). If required, also loosen /
unscrew anti-twist screw (3).
2. Turn elbow (1) into the desired position.
3. Screw the fixing screws (2) into the visible
threaded holes of the elbow / threaded
connection piece (4).
4. Tighten anti-twist screw.
Screw inlet / flange socket into elbow
1. Screw inlet / flange socket into elbow and
tighten.
(Test torque -> see Technical Data).
