Inlets may only be installed in
enclosures in the type of protection Ex-e.

1.
Unscrew protective cap.
2.
Push the inlet insert (4) forwards out
of the inlet sleeve (2).
3.
Fit coloured ring used for marking on
to the inlet sleeve (2).(see cap. 22)
9 . 2 Connecting conductors to
plug pins (moulded plastic
version only)
The insulation of the conductor shall
reach up to the plug pins. The conductor
must not be damaged.
1.
Strip off ca. 8 mm of insulation from
all cable conductors.
The Pin 7 (PE Pin) is the larger one.To avoid
mistakes, take this first.
2.
Insert conductor into the connection
opening of the plug pin (3).
3.
Crimp on all conductors using
crimping tool
(→ Accessories) [Fig9.2]
or
solder all conductors to plug pins
and pull shrink-on sleeve over each
soldering point.

Once they have been pressed into the plug
insert, the plug pins cannot be
disassembled.
1.
Fit inlet sleeve (2) onto cable.
2.
Push all the plug pins (3) into the
hexagonal keyways of the
inlet insert (4) until they reach the
stop [Fig. 9.1]
3.
Insert the inlet insert (4) with guide
lug into the keyway of the inlet sleeve
(2) [Fig. 9.3].

It must be possible to hear when the inlet
insert engages.
