13.1 Stripping off of insulation from
10
cable conductors
Only use cables and conductors
specified in the Technical Data.
1. Strip off ca. 30 mm of insulation from
cables.
2. Strip off ca. 8 mm of insulation from all
cable conductors.
3. If required, fit end sleeves to all
conductors.
13.2 Disassembling connector with
cage clam terminals [Fig. 13.1]
1. Loosen locking screw (1).
2. Unscrew pressure piece (2) of coupler
sleeve (7).
3. Push coupler insert (6) out of the
coupler sleeve (7) from the front..
4. At the same time, remove the strain relief
(3), seal (4), thrust washer (5) and
insulating sleeve (6) from the coupler
sleeve (7) from the back.
5 Fit coloured ring used for marking on to
the plug sleeve (7).(see cap. 22)
13.3 Fitting parts of connector with
cage clamp terminals to cable
1. Push pressure piece (2), strain relief (3),
seal (4) and thrust washer (5) on to
cable.

13.4 Assembling connector with
cage clamp terminals
1. Using a screwdriver (19) (2.5 x 7.5) open
the clamp (9) and insert the conductor
(11) into the opening [Fig. 13.2].
2. Remove screwdriver from clamp.
3. Repeat process for all conductors.
Contact has now been made between the
conductors and the plug pin.
4.. Insert the coupler insert (6) with guide lug
into the keyway of the coupler sleeve (7)
[Fig. 13.3].
5. Fit thrust washer (5), seal (4) and strain
relief (3) into the coupler sleeve (7).
The thrust washer also acts as a
connection for the screen.
6. Screw pressure piece (2) tight [torque ->
Technical Data]
7. Tighten locking screw (1).
i
To disassemble, carry out the above
actions in the reverse order.
