10. Replacing the Ship's Propellers

The delivery includes a left-turning and a right-
turning replacement ship's propeller each.
Before replacement, observe the different
propeller shapes of the ship's propellers as
shown in figure 7, item 1.
Proceed as follows to replace the ship's propellers:
• Remove the lock nut (figure 7, item 2). For the left ship's propeller, you need to turn the nut to the left to remove it.
For the right ship's propeller, you need to turn the nut to the right.
• Then turn the ship's propeller from the shaft. For the left ship's propeller, you need to turn the ship's propeller to the
left to remove it. For the right ship's propeller, you need to turn the ship's propeller to the right. Hold the correspon-
ding motor shaft with one hand.
• Install the new ship's propeller on the shaft and secure it with the lock nut. Observe that you use the right ship's
propeller or nut!
The lock nut should be additionally secured against loss with a small drop of screwlocker varnish.
At installation of the ship's propellers, always observe the propeller shapes shown in figure 7, item 1.
Installing the ship's propellers incorrectly causes the model to run in circles or backwards. For better orien-
tation, the ship's propellers are also marked. The ship's propeller marked „L" is intended for the left drive
viewed from the rear, the ship's propeller marked „R" for the right one.
Observe that this mark must point towards the boat's body when installing the ship's propellers.
