b) Plug-in Charger
• The plug-in charger is only suitable for charging 6-cell NiMH rechargeable batteries. Never use the plug-
in charger for any other purpose. Never use the plug-in charger for charging LiPo rechargeable batteries
(or other rechargeable batteries than NiMH); there is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Always observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when connecting an NiMH rechargeable battery to
the plug-in charger.
• The plug-in charger is constructed pursuant to protection class II.
• Use only a proper mains socket of the public supply mains for voltage/current supply of the plug-in
charger.
• The socket to which the plug-in charger is connected must be easily accessible.
• Do not pull the plug-in charger from the mains socket at the cable. Always take it by the side of the
housing and pull it from the socket straight.
• Protect the plug-in charger from moisture and wetness as well as from damage. If the plug-in charger has
become moist or wet or damaged, do not touch it. Danger to life from electric shock!
First deactivate all sides of the mains socket to which the plug-in charger is connected (e.g. switch off the
respective fuse or turn out the fuse. Then deactivate the FI protection switch).
Only then pull the plug-in charger from the mains socket; no longer use the plug-in charger, but dispose
of it environmentally compatibly.
c) Before Commissioning
• Make sure that no other models are operated on the same channel (transmitter frequency) within
the range of the remote control. Otherwise, you will lose control of the remote-controlled models! For
2.4 GHz remote control systems, always check that concurrent operation of two or more remote control
systems in direct proximity is possible without interferences.
• Regularly check the functional reliability of your model and the remote control system. Watch out for any
visible damage such as defective plug connections or damaged cables. All moving parts of the model
must run smoothly but should not have any play in their bearings.
• Charge the drive battery, which is necessary for operation, as well as the rechargeable battery that may
be inserted in the remote control according the manufacturer's instructions.
• If batteries are used as a transmitter power supply, make sure that they have sufficient remaining ca-
pacity (battery checker). If the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set, never individual
cells only.
• Before operation, always control the trim controller settings of the on the transmitter for the various
steering directions and, if necessary, adjust them.
• Always align the transmitter aerial so that the aerial tip points upwards as vertically as possible in the
transmitter position favoured by you to operate your model. Otherwise, the transmitter may not send its
control signals as well as possible, which may cause considerable reduction of the range.
• Always switch on the transmitter first. Then the drive battery of the model may be connected. Otherwise,
unexpected reactions of the receiver system may occur and the ship propellers might start up unintenti-
onally! Danger of accident and injury!
