Safety instructions for the operator
CAUTION !!!
THE ENGINE MAKES A GROWLING NOISE WHEN THE
MACHINE IS BEING STOPPED AND SHORTLY AFTER
HAVING STOPPED.
AT THIS POINT, THE SWITCH MUST NOT BE PRESSED
IN ANY CASE. (NEITHER ON NOR OFF). THE ENGINE
MAY BE SWITCHED ON AGAIN AFTER THE
GROWLING NOISE HAS VANISHED. DO NOT SWITCH
THE MACHINE ON AND OFF MORE THAN 6 TIMES PER
HOUR.
Please check the circular-saw blade rotation direction at
the time the blade is being started up.
The rotation direction is correct is the circular-saw blade
teeth are rotating towards the operator.
If the rotation direction is incorrect, the rotation
direction must be changed by switching the two
switchable plug poles by turning them using a
screwdriver with slight pressure. (see First putting into
operation)
Residual risks and protective measures
Even when used in accordance with the designation and
following all applicable safety provisions, there still may be
some residual risks, depending on the machine design.
Residual risks may be minimised if provisions of the
"Safety instructions", "Use as designated" and the
Operating Instructions are respected.
Discretion and caution minimise the risk of injuries of
persons and damage.
•
A contact with the circular-saw blade in an exposed
part of the saw.
•
A contact with the rotating circular-saw blade.
Risk of injury to fingers and hands by the tool
(circular-saw blade) or material being cut, e.g. when
changing the circular-saw blade.
•
Injury by thrown-away parts of the material being cut.
•
Backlash of the material being cut or parts of the
material being cut.
•
Circular-saw blade breaking or shooting out.
•
Risk of electric shock if defective electric cables are
used.
•
A contact with conductive parts at exposed electric
construction parts.
•
Hearing damage caused by long work without hearing
protectors.
Further, there may still be some hidden residual risks
despite all the preventive measures taken
Changing the circular-saw blade
1.
Loosen the table protection (pic. 4) on both sides. 4).
2.
Now shift the table fully to the front so that the
protective cover (pic. 5) is put on the circular-saw
blade to the full extent. 5).
3.
Now the table can be folded back (pic. 6).
4.
Now dismount the circular-saw blade as shown in
pictures 7-12 and refit a new one in the reverse
order.
Do not forget to hook on the table protection again
after finishing your work!
Transport and storage
Unplug the machine before any transport.
To ensure trouble-free transport, pull out the two travel
handles (pic. 1/5). The cradle circular saw with tilting table
can be easily moved from one place to another.
Storing
Unplug the machine.
Keep any machines not being used in a dry and locked
place, inaccessible to children.
When the machine is to be stored for a long time, please
follow these instructions to extend the saw life and make
its operating easy:
•
Clean the saw thoroughly.
•
Treat all moving parts with environment-friendly oil.
Never use any grease!

Inspections and servicing
Keep the cradle circular saw clean at all times. It is enough
to clean the circular saw for firewood off any sawdust using
a brush or cleaning cloth after you have finished cutting
and the circular-saw blade is idle and the power supply
interrupted.
When the machine is put out of operation for a long time,
we recommend treating the circular-saw blade and tension
spring with a cloth dipped in oil to prevent it from corrosion.
Cover the saw for cutting firewood with a sheet if standing
in exposed spaces or outdoors. Prevent especially the
engine and the switch against water.
Important instructions for sawdust container
cleaning
Remains of bark or wood may get deposited on the
security bars of the sawdust container, depending on
quality of wood. Therefore, the sawdust container must be
cleaned at regular intervals.
Safety instructions for inspections and servicing
Before any saw servicing, power supply must always be
interrupted (machine unplugged) and it needs to be made
sure the saw will not get switched on.
Only a regularly serviced and treated machine may be a
satisfactory aid. Inappropriate servicing and maintenance
may lead to unforeseen accident and injuries.
