Lap Belt Installation

IMPORTANT: Check your vehicle owner's manual to
determine how to lock your vehicle belt system.
1. Secure your child in the
infant car seat before
installing the car seat in the
vehicle.
2. Place the infant car seat
rear facing on the vehicle
seat.
3. Pull the vehicle belt out
and route it through the
carrier only belt guides.
4. Verify that the vehicle
belt is not twisted and
then buckle. Lock your
vehicle seat belt system as
instructed by your vehicle
owner's manual.

5. Push the infant car seat
firmly into the vehicle seat
while removing all slack
from the vehicle belt.
Carrier Only Installation with Lap Belt
CHECKLIST
ü Check that the vehicle belt is tight and that the
infant car seat is secure. The infant car seat is
secure when it moves less than 2.5 cm (1 inch)
front-to-back or side-to-side at the vehicle belt path.
ü Check that the recline angle is correct. The proper
recline angle is achieved when the level line on the
carrier is level to the ground.
ü Check that the vehicle belt is not twisted and that it
is tight and locked.
ü Check that the infant car seat handle is rotated and
locked into position 1. See page 35.
