Gearbox servicing:
1.
Unscrew the gearbox cover cap nuts and both cross
screws.
2.
Remove the gearbox cover.
3.
Remove wood dust and shavings using the shaving
exhauster or a brush.
4.
Apply the maintenance and treatment spray on the roller
chain and pulley bearings. Never use any grease!
5.
Refit the gearbox cover.
Any changes to the surface and thickness planer exclude
liability of the manufacturer for any consequential damage of
any type.

Failures – causes - remedies
Switch the device off and unplug it before removing any failure.

Remedy
•
Check the fuse
•
Check the cables and replace any defective
ones

Have the engine or switch checked or repaired
by a qualified electrician.

Change or sharpen the knife
•
Continue working at a lower speed of feeding
•
Restart the engine after it has cooled down
•
Check the chain, feed or engine for any
undesirable items.
•
Reduce the cutting depth and process the
workpiece in several steps
•
Change or sharpen the knife

Remove shavings
•
Feed the workpiece under constant pressure
and at a reduced speed of feeding
•
Dry the workpiece out
•
Process the workpiece in the opposite direction
•
Process the workpice in several steps

Switch the device off, remove shavings and
connect the exhauster

Use dry wood

Clean the table desk and apply a thin layer of
slide wax on it
