Put the workpiece to the guide stop.
2.
Loosen the locking screw.
3.
Flat workpieces (<75 mm):
Move the protective cover of knives (picture 11/a) to the
guide stop (picture 10/a) and lift it based on the
workpiece thickness. Push the workpiece slightly under
the protective cover of knives and lower the cover to the
workpiece.
4.
High workpieces (>75 mm):
Lower the protective cover of knives down to the table
desk and the workpiece.
Surfacing:
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Push the workpiece carefully straight via the feed table
desk using the feed handles.
3.
When planing small sides, press the workpiece by both
hands with the fist being clenched or using the feed
handles against the stop and table desk and push it
ahead of the feed table desk.
4.
First try pressure on the workpiece on the feed table
desk.
5.
Switch the device off if you do not immediately continue
in your work.
Chamfering:
1.
Put the workpiece against an obliquely set stop.
2.
Adjust the protective cover of knives in a way it touches
the workpiece and tighten the locking screw.

Press the workpiece with the fist being clenched or using
the feed handles against the stop and take-away table
desk.
4.
Push the workpiece via the feed table desk with the
other hand or using the feed handles.

in your work.
Thicknessing
Thicknessing serves for planing a workpiece with a flat planed
surface until thin. The flat planed side is on the planing table
desk. Feeding from left to the right. Shortening after planing
as protrusion is produced at the start and end of thicknessing.
Preparation:
The device must always be unplugged before any adjusting
work!
Fixing the dust exhauster:
1.
Loosen the locking screw (picture 9/a) and remove the
protective cover of knives from the table desk.
2.
Set the guide stop (picture 10/a) to 45°.
3.
Fit the exhaust cover (picture 1/5) on the surfacing
board. Star-handle screws (picture 11/b) must be above
the planing table desk holes.
4.
Tighten the star-handle screws (picture 1/5).
5.
Fit in the exhaust connection (picture 1/5).
6.
Fix the shaving exhauster to the exhaust connection.
Thicknessing:
1.
Adjust the planing width. When passing, the device may
only plane away max. 2 mm. However, this value is only
recommended for:
-
Sharp planing knives
-
Soft wood
-
Smaller than maximum workpiece widths
2.
Start the engine.
3.
Push the workpiece slowly and straight in the arrow
direction. It will be pulled in automatically.
4.
Switch the device off if you do not immediately continue
in your work.
The table may be extended (picture 12/14)
Dust and shavings exhaust
Wood dust worsening visibility and being harmful to some
extent is produced when operating the surface and thickness
planer. Therefore, always fit (∅ 100 mm) the dust/shaving
exhauster or a small vacuum cleaner to the exhaust
connection (31) using an appropriate adapter. The air speed
on the device exhaust connection is 20 metres per second.
The engine is only running if the exhaust cover (picture 1/1)
has been fitted properly, which activates the safety switch.
Transport
Unplug the device before any transport.
The protective cover of knives must fully cover the
cutting roller.
Do not carry the device by the feed or take-away table.
Holding under the device is enough.
The surface and thickness planer may only be changed,
used and serviced by persons instructed in respect of
possible risks.
Any repairs may only be executed by us or customer
service centres known to us.
The device must not be used in an environment with a risk of
explosion and it must also not be exposed to rain.
Servicing and cleaning
Switch the appliance off and unplug it before any
servicing and cleaning.
To maintain the functionality of the device, the following must
be respected:
Do not splash water on the device.
Remove any shavings and dust using a brush or vacuum
cleaner.
Make sure the transport cylinders are free of corrosion
and resin.
Remove any resin remains from the surface of table
desks, cutting roller and parts attached to the roller using
a common maintenance and treatment spray. Clamping
equipment, knife holders and knives may be plunged into
paraffin, petrol or common resin removal agent.
Apply a thin layer of slide wax (Waxilit # 55085 slide
spray) on the feed, take-away and planing table desk.
Change both planing knives at all times or have them
sharpened if you notice they are blunt after multiple or
long use. Planing knives may only be reground to the
height of 15 mm.
Safety equipment removed for servicing and cleaning
purposes must necessarily be refitted properly and checked.
