Assembly
Support frame assembly (pic. 15/16)
Assemble the support frame (pic. 15) using the ring
spanner (10) so that the short and long cross struts are
against each other. Tighten the screws by hand.
Then, fit the surface and thickness planer on the
assembled support frame and use the Allen key (6) to
screw the surface and thickness plane to the support
frame from below (pic. 16).
Now tighten all screws.
Before starting the device
The complete wording of the Operating Instructions
must necessarily be read before starting the device!
Check the following before each use:
Any damage to the feeder cables
 Never use any damaged cable
Make sure the protective cover of knives is fitted on the
cutting roller that is not being used
Make sure the On/Off button works properly
 Do not use the device if the switch is damaged
Make sure the moving parts and protective equipment
work perfectly and do not drag and no parts are
damaged.
 Any damaged protective equipment and parts must
be professionally repaired or replaced in an authorised
workshop.
Check the back impact protection
Check the planing knives
 The planing knives must be sharp and fitted tightly
Check the pull roller
Check the feed and take-away table
Have the cable and any damage removed by an
authorised expert.
Make sure all fixing bolts are tightened.
Make sure the knives are properly connected to the
cutting roller.
Apply a thin layer of slide wax (you can use the Waxilit
#55085 slide spray).
The following parts must also be installed:
Rubber feet (picture 2)
Guide stop (picture 3): Fix the guide stop using 2 A6
washers, 4 and 2 M6 x 25 screws.
Protective cover of knives (picture 4): Fix the star-handle
screw.
Fixing to the work-table (picture 5): Put 4 holes on your
work-table – see the picture. Fix them using 4 M8
screws.

After use
Check the following after each use:
The inside of the device
 Remove wood dust and shavings once a month if the
device is used on a daily basis
Exhaust connection
Feeder cable
After each use, set the minimum size of cutting to prevent a
risk of injury.
Putting the device into operation
Connection:
Connect the device to an appropriate and correctly grounded
socket.
AC engine: Use a protection pin socket, 230 V line voltage
with a protective switch against stray current and a 10A inertia
fuse. Use feeder or extension cables with a wire cross section
of at least 1.5 mm².
Switching the device on:
1.
Lift the yellow drop lid. If locked in, shift the red button in
the arrow direction.
2.
Press the green button on the switch. The device gets
automatically switched off in case of power failure. To
restart the device, press the green button again.
Switching the device off:
1.
Press the red button on the drop lid.
Engine protection:
The engine has been fitted with a circuit breaker and gets
automatically switched off if overloaded.
The device can be restarted after cooling down (app. 5-10
mins):
1.
Press the red button
2.
Small button next to the switch (picture 6 /a).
3.
Green button for starting.
Operation:
Put your hands with fingers close to each other flat on the
workpiece or use the feed handles.
Stand on the side of the surface and thickness planer.
Never guide the workpiece back via the exposed cutting
roller.
Surfacing
Surfacing serves for planing irregular surfaces until smooth.
Preparation:
The device must always be unplugged before any adjusting
work!
Fitting the dust exhauster:
1.
Fit the crank (picture 7) on the end of the cutting shaft on
the table desk and turn it counter-clockwise so that the
planing table desk is as low as possible.
2.
Fit the exhaust cover (picture 8) on the planing table
desk. Stop pins must fit in the holes in the planing table
desk.
3.
Turn the crank (picture 7) clockwise so that the exhaust
cover (picture 8) is tightly clamped by the planing table
desk.
4.
Fix the exhaust cover using the M6 nut and A6,4 washer.
5.
Remove the crank (picture 7) again.
6.
Fit in the exhaust connection (picture 1/5).
7.
Link the shaving exhauster and the exhaust connection.
Guide stop (picture 10/a) adjustment:
1.
Loosen the locking lever (picture 10). If the locking lever
cannot be turned appropriately, pull out the lever head
and turn it back.
2.
Turn the guide stop to the required angle that can be
read on the angular scale (picture 10/b).
3.
Tighten the locking lever (picture 10).
