Place of work
Keep the place of your work clean and tidy.
Mess and an unlit place of work may lead to
injuries.
Do not work with the electrical device in an
environment with a risk of explosion where
there are flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Electrical devices produce sparks able to ignite dust
or fumes.
Keep children and other persons in a safe
distance from the electrical device. You can lose
control of your device when not concentrated.
Electrical safety
The connecting plug of the electrical device
must fit the socket. The plug may not be
changed in any manner. Do not use earthed
electrical devices in combination with plug
adapters. Unchanged plugs and appropriate plugs
reduce the risk of electric shock. If the electrical
device is fitted with a protective conductor, it may
not be connected to a socket with a protective
contact. Use the electrical device on sites, in a
moist environment, outdoors or under similar
conditions only in a system with a protective switch
against stray current (FI) 30 mA.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such
as tubes, heaters, cookers and fridges. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed.
Do not expose the device to rain and moisture.
Water entered in the electrical device increases the
risk of electric shock.
Do not use the cable in conflict with the as
designated provisions or to carry the device,
hang the device or pull the plug out of socket.
Protect the cable against excess temperatures,
oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the device.
A cable that is damaged or tangled increases the
risk of electric shock.
When working with the device outdoors, use
only extension cables approved for outdoor
use. Using an extension cable suitable for outdoor
use reduces the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed parts. By this you
will protect yourself against electric shock.
Do not pull the cable to pull the plug out of socket.
When laying the feeder cable, make sure the cable
is not affected, jammed, broken or it does not get
damp.
Any repairs on the device may only be executed by
a qualified electrician or our repair service centre.
Original spare parts and accessory equipment to be
used only. If different spare parts are used, there
may be injuries for which the manufacturer cannot
be held liable.
The feeder cable plug must be protected against
splashing water.
Safety of persons
Be careful, pay attention to what you are doing
and use common sense when working with the
electrical device. Do not use the electrical
device when you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or pharmaceuticals. A moment
of inattention when using the device may lead to
serious injuries.
Wear personal protective equipment and
protective glasses at all times. Wearing personal
protective equipment such as respirator, non-skid
safety shoes, protective helmet or earmuffs,
depending on the type and use of the electrical
device, reduces the risk of injuries.
Prevent accidental start-up. Make sure the
switch is in the "Off" position before pulling the
plug out of socket. A finger on the switch when
carrying the electrical device or when plugging the
device when on may lead to injuries. Never bypass
the safety switch.
Remove any adjustment tools and keys from the
electrical device before starting it. A tool or key
located in the moving part of the device may cause
an injury. Never touch in the moving (rotating) parts.
Do not overestimate your abilities. Take a stable
position and keep balance at all times. By this,
you will be able to control the device better in
unexpected situations.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose
clothing and jewels. Keep hair, clothing and
gloves in a safe distance from the moving parts.
Loose clothing, jewels and long hair may get caught
by moving parts.
If dust exhausters and catchers can be installed,
make sure they are fitted and used properly.
Using this equipment reduces the exposure to dust.
Hand the electrical device to instructed persons
only. Young people may only use the electrical
device when they are above 16 if it is necessary for
achieving their educational goal and if supervised
by an expert adviser.
Careful treatment and using of electrical devices
Do not overload the device. Use an appropriate
electrical device for your work. Working with an
electrical device is better and safer in the specified
power range.
Do not use an electrical device with a defective
switch. An electrical device that cannot be
switched on or off is dangerous and must be
repaired.
Unplug the device before any adjustment work,
replacement of accessory equipment or storing
the device. These safety measures prevent
accidental device start-up.
Keep any electrical devices that are not being
used out of reach of children. Make sure the
electrical device is not used by persons not
familiarised with using the device or that have
not read these Operating Instructions. Electrical
devices are dangerous if used by inexperienced
persons.
Take care of your electrical device. Make sure
the moving parts of the device work perfectly
and do not drag and check whether they are not
broken or damaged and therefore having a
negative impact on the function of the device.
Have any damaged parts repaired by qualified
professional staff or by us before using the
electrical device. Poorly maintained electrical
devices are a cause of many accidents.
Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully
treated cutting tools with sharp edges get stuck less
often and are easier to guide.
Secure the workpiece.
To clamp the workpiece, use clamping devices or a
vice. This is safer than holding the workpiece by
hand and keeps both of your hands free to operate
the electrical device.
Use electrical devices, accessory equipment,
extensions, etc. in accordance with these
instructions and as specified for this specific
type of device. In doing so, consider the
working conditions and activity you are
performing. Use electrical devices for purposes
other than those specified may lead to dangerous
situations. For safety reasons, no change to the
electrical device is allowed.
