Method of maximum

Operation (see diagram) :
1/ Start from the point where the Emitter injection lead is connected
(See A).
2/ Select max. sensitivity and move the Receiver around the Emitter to
find the direction of the cable. (see B and C).
3/ Continue in this way progressively reducing the sensitivity until obtaining
max. indication on the Vu-meter and the strongest audio signal.
4/ "Trace" the cable run in this way to its source (See D).
NB: The method of maximum gives better accuracy when the user is
able to hold the Receiver close to the wire being traced. Accuracy
is better than a centimetre. Nevertheless, if the wire is inaccessible
(20 cm. inside a wall for example), its position can only be found to
the nearest 20 cm. In this case the minimum method can be used
to overcome this problem.
