NB: In the case of a live/neutral short circuit it is not a big loop connection
because the current comes back along the same cable to the short
circuit. The signal therefore being quite weak, the probe must be
placed quite close to the circuit so as to follow it to the point where
it disappears at the short circuit.

Neutral/Earth short circuit

In the case of a neutral/earth short circuit, the bridging method is used to
find the fault.
- Connect the Emitter as shown in the diagram.
- Same reasoning as for the live/earth short circuit.

Tracking a blocked pipe

NB : The material of the pipe must be non-magnetic for the tracking to be
possible. This method consists of sliding a cable inside the pipe to
the place where it is blocked or broken. (In a ceiling, a floor...).
