Meaning of the symbol
This device is protected by a double insulation or by a reinforced insulation.
No linking is required from the protection earth terminal to ensure the
electrical security.

WARNING
The LOCAT Emitter is fitted with a high breaking capacity fuse.
FF 0,1A 380V (5x20 mm) 10kA
If the fuse is replaced, it is essential to replace it with another of the
same value and type otherwise the instrument may be damaged and
the guarantee invalid.
The LOCAT, wire tracer and electrical fault locator, is a clever and original
instrument in more than one way.
It may be used to «trace the path» of an operational electrical installation, that
is to say in a working installation which is live.
Its major application is the identification, the location, of a circuit by finding cable
runs through walls without dismantling or demolition work.
The LOCAT works on all types of live electrical installations, on condition that
they aren't magnetically screened.
It's an extremely versatile instrument.
Among the 1000 and 1 applications of the LOCAT we list the principal ones to
enable you to familiarise yourself with its use:
- Finding the origin of a circuit,
- Following a circuit throughout its route,
- Finding one wire amongst others in a weave or a surface mounted box conduit,
- Finding short circuits: live/earth, live/neutral and neutral/earth,

- Identifying an earth circuit

The LOCAT bears the CE label. In particular, it conforms to electromagnetic
compatibility.
The LOCAT consists of two separate elements: the EMITTER and the RECEIVER.
NB : The terms Emitter/Receiver that are used correspond to a simplified
description of the physical principle of the LOCAT but it has the advantage of
being easy for everyone to understand. That's why we have used them.
